The season was reduced by two-thirds but it seemed as it if was packed with two times the action and intrigue. In the final week, four the league's six teams saw their postseason ranking change.

The Ageless Wonders™had clinched the first seed and the Phils the last seed a week ago. But heading into the final week, the Isotopes, Dorian Grays, Fainting Goat and Plug Uglies were still in the thick of it with playoff rankings 2 through 5 still up in the air.

The Topes throttled the Grays, scoring early and often on Thursday to clinch the second seed and a first round bye. The Plug Uglies pulled away from the Goats with a 7-run 7th to blow open what had been a close game.

With the Plugs win and the Grays loss, those two teams were tied with the Goats for the 3rd seed. Based on the tire-breaker of runs allowed on the season the Plugs leap-frogged both the Goats and Grays to clinch the 3rd seed, the Grays take 4th and the Goats 5th heading into the playoffs.

Did someone mention the playoffs?
