'Kissing your sister' - Phillies tie Grays with 2 outs in 7th

Ties, as the old saying goes, are like kissing your sister. It was true then and true now. It's even true if, as one Gray put it, "my sister is hot."

In any event, the defending league champion Phillies rose off the deck with 2 outs in the top of the 7th to score 2 runs to tie the Dorian Grays. The Grays had the chance to win on a walk-off in the bottom of the inning but inexplicably could not get the winning run home from 3rd with no outs.

In the Wednesday night game, the Plug Uglies are reported to have won big over the Wonderboys. As no one from either team has reported the score to the league president, let's just for now say the final score was 206 to minus 3.*

This week's results served to break up the logjam for first place. The Plug Uglies now have a half-game lead over the Grays and a one-game lead over the Wonderboys. The Phils remain removed from the win column, but at least they avoided their 4th loss.

It is, after all,  like kissing your sister.

*the Plugs just reported the final score. It was 16-4.
